MobileMeについての超カンタンに解説！
「MobileMe」は、オンラインでの総合ストレージサービスです。アップルは「クラウドストレージサービス」と呼んでいますね。
iPhoneだけではなく、iPod touch、パソコン、Apple TVなど、ユーザーの持っているさまざまな情報をインターネット上にあるストレージに保管して、共有できます。
利用料は、年間で9,800円と有料ですが、最初の60日間はトライアル期間で無料で使う事ができます。容量は、20GBで、IMAP4/POP3/Webメールに対応した電子メール、ファイル共有、Webサイトの公開もできます。
ただ、この「MobileMe」のサービスは新規メンバーの登録は終了してしまったようです。現在登録しているメンバーは2012年6月30日まで使う事ができるそうです。また、新しいサービス「iCloud」に移行というかたちになりそうですね。なので、現在「MobileMe」を使用している方は、サービスの終了前にデータを自分のPCにコピーして、バックアップをしておいた方がいいですね。
「iCloud」は無料で5GBのストレージを使うことができますので、こちらも今後利用することで、データの上手に活用できそうです。
